Certified Scoop Ltd. (“Certified Scoop”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have under the Trinidad & Tobago Data Protection Act, 2011 (DPA).
1. Information we collect
We only collect the information we genuinely need to take orders, run events, and reply to enquiries:
- Contact details, name, email address, phone number, when you submit our enquiry or catering form.
- Order details, flavours selected, delivery / pickup location, event date, when you place an order or book a catering job.
- Technical data, IP address, browser type, pages viewed, collected automatically by our web host (Cloudflare) for security and to keep the site online.
2. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry or fulfil your order.
- To send order confirmations or schedule changes.
- To improve our menu, locations and service based on what people ask for.
- To meet our obligations under T&T food safety, tax and consumer-protection law.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with parties strictly needed to deliver service:
- Payment processors (e.g. WiPay, card networks) when you pay online.
- Delivery partners when you choose home delivery.
- Email and analytics providers used to run the site (only if you accept our cookies).
- Authorities, where required by T&T law.
4. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for seven (7) years to satisfy T&T tax law (Board of Inland Revenue). General enquiry messages are deleted after twelve (12) months unless you become a customer.
5. Your rights under the DPA
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your data once it is no longer needed.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the T&T Information Commissioner.

6. Cookies & analytics
We use only the cookies needed to run the site. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first via an on-page banner. See our Cookie Notice (forthcoming).
7. Children
Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
