Allergen Notice
This notice explains the major allergens that may be present in our products, in line with the Trinidad & Tobago Food and Drugs Act, Chap. 30:01 and Caribbean food-labelling guidance from the CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards and Quality (CROSQ).
Allergens we use in our kitchen
Our kitchens regularly handle the following ingredients, so cross-contact is possible in any product:
- Milk & dairy, base of all ice creams.
- Eggs, used in some custard-style flavours.
- Tree nuts, almonds, cashews, pistachios (in named flavours).
- Peanuts, used in peanut-based flavours and toppings.
- Soy, soy lecithin in some bases.
- Wheat / gluten, cones, biscuit crumbs, brownie pieces.
- Sesame, occasional toppings (benne, halva).
- Sulphites, in some fruit purées and dried fruits.
By product type
Ice creams (dairy-based)
All contain milk. Many contain eggs. Specific flavours containing nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat or sesame are clearly marked on the menu. If a flavour is not marked with one of those, it does not contain that allergen as an ingredient, but cross-contact in our kitchen is still possible.
Sorbets (dairy-free fruit base)
Made without milk or eggs. May contain sulphites where fruit purées are used. Produced in the same kitchen as our dairy products, so traces of milk are possible.
Lollies
Mixed range, some are sorbet-based (dairy-free), others are dairy. Each lolly variant lists its allergens at the menu/order page.
Toppings & cones
Cones contain wheat. Crumbled biscuit and brownie toppings contain wheat, milk and eggs. Sprinkles, syrups and crushed nuts come pre-packaged from suppliers, we follow the supplier’s allergen statement, available on request.
Cross-contact warning
We use shared scoops, equipment and surfaces. Even when a flavour does not contain a given allergen as an ingredient, we cannot guarantee that traces will not be present. Customers with severe allergies should consider whether the risk is acceptable before ordering.
How to ask before you order
If you or someone you are buying for has a serious allergy:
- Email [email protected] at least 24 hours before pickup or delivery.
- For events & catering, allergen requirements should be listed on the booking form.
- In-store, ask any staff member, they can show you the ingredient list for a flavour.
