From a supermarket freezer in March 2024 to two stores in Trinidad in eighteen months. The version below is the long one.
Certified Scoop was started by Jamel "Certified" Sampson and his business partner Rajeev Singh. Jamel had spent years building an audience online, and turned that energy into something you can actually eat.
The brand launched with ice lollies in March 2024. Within weeks they were on shelves at Massy, Pricesmart and JTA. By July the first scoop shop opened at South Park Mall, San Fernando. The line was out the door for the first month.
A second store opened in Trincity in early 2025. The catering cart followed. Now they're working on lollies for export and a third store somewhere we won't say yet.
